  • LIVIN LITE REDESIGNS POPULAR QUICKSILVER VRV TOY HAULER LINE

LIVIN LITE Recreational Vehicles, manufacturers of ultra-lightweight, all-aluminum and composite constructed toy campers is excited to announce that they have upgraded and significantly improved their popular QUICKSILVER VRV line of toy haulers.  New features include a new aerodynamic front radius design; additional interior height (87” interior ceiling height most models); larger bathroom design with lav base and linen closets; redesigned kitchen layout with microwave in the overhead; larger 7 cu. ft. refrigerator; and stunning new charcoal aluminum cabinetry with black powder coated trim.

“This next generation of QUICKSILVER VRVs are the result of listening to consumers and responding to their requests,” shares Scott Tuttle, President of LIVIN LITE, “We simply made our toy haulers better by stylizing the front ends and adding to the interior spaciousness, as well as improving the amenities.  So far, consumer feedback has been tremendous, with many positive comments being made about the overall look as well as the increased bathroom space and storage.  The large, 2-door, 7 cu. ft. refer has a nice sized freezer compartment, while the kitchen has plenty of room for preparing any size meal.”

QUICKSILVER VRV toy hauler are marketed as a “Generational Camper” – or one that will be used by more than one generation of family members.  While this is a bold claim, when you take a closer look at LIVIN LITE’s construction, you will see just how true it is. The QUICKSILVER VRV toy hauler line features ultra lightweight aluminum construction, including the main frame, sub-floor framing, floor decking, sidewall studs, roof trusses, and even the interior cabinetry is framed of all welded aluminum.  Not only does this unique construction make LIVIN LITE toy haulers the lightest on the market, but it also ensures that a QUICKSILVER VRV frame will never rust; it’s floor will never sag or rot; and its cabinetry and interior will never mold or rot.  Interior wall and roof panels are constructed of Azdel, a composite board without any wood in it.  The moisture resistant Azdel will not allow mold to grow on it and also offers an insulative value as well.

The other factor that all of this aluminum and composite design produces is extreme lightweight.  The QUICKSILVER VRV toy hauler line features the smallest fully self-contained model on the market, the 6×15 which can be towed by a JEEP Laredo as it weighs only 2,700 lbs.  The 7×20 model weighs in at a slim 3,600 lbs., while the 8.5×24 models weighs in at 4,400 lbs.  Each model is literally thousands of lbs. less than the competition, which allows QUICKSILVER VRV owners the ability to drive their current truck or SUV and not have to purchase a larger, more expensive tow vehicle.

The QUICKSILVER VRV comes in a variety of painted aluminum exterior colors, including a number of popular automotive metallic colors (i.e. silver, bronze, charcoal) – allowing owners to matching its automotive exterior look with their tow vehicle.
If you are in the market for toy hauler, be sure to visit LIVIN LITE’s website at www.LIVINLITE.com to review the latest information and photos.

  • LIVIN LITE Recreational Vehicles to Introduce Ultra Light 5th Wheels at Upcoming Open House Week

LIVIN LITE Recreational Vehicles, located in Wakarusa, IN, reports that they are about to enter the 5th wheel market by introducing the industry’s first ever model made entirely free of even a splinter of wood.  “We are excited to bring LIVIN LITE’s unique construction techniques and ultra lightweight design into the 5thwheel marketplace,” reports Scott Tuttle, President of LIVIN LITE.   Based on a technologically advanced design, LIVIN LITE is said to building their first ever fiver on an ultra-light steel frame versus their traditional aluminum chassis that each of their other camper lines ride on.  “It’s true”, shares Tuttle, “The all-new CAMPLITE 5th wheel line built of all aluminum and composites, will be riding on a LITETECH frame that is hundreds of pounds lighter than a traditionally built steel frame.”  The LITETECH frame is also dipped in a protective E-coating that effectively fights oxidation and eliminates the possibility of oxidation spreading should the frame ever be scratched.  “If we were going to do anything on steel, it would have to be the most technologically advanced steel frame design on the market and we have found just that,” said Tuttle, “The E-coating dip/bath is expensive, but it is well worth the extra effort and cost as it will keep any oxidation from spreading should the frame ever suffer a significant scratch.”

The first CAMPLITE 5th wheel model is approx. 30’ in length, featuring two slide-outs.  A second floorplan is available in a 26’ length, also with a slide-out, with both featuring LIVIN LITE’s colorful painted aluminum exteriors with flowing graphics, giving it the look and feel of a full body painted unit.  Tuttle shares that the CAMPLITE line of mid-profile 5th wheels is going to weigh in the 6,000 lb. range, making it the lightest such 5th wheels on the market.  “Our target audience is the half-ton pick-up market, and not only have we designed a 5th wheel that they can tow, we have designed a line of 5th wheels that half ton pickups can tow comfortably while enjoying improved gas mileage – that’s a huge difference,” states Tuttle.

LIVIN LITE’s display during Open House week will be on Executive Parkway (the RV Hall of Fame Drive), situated just before the entrance to THOR’s display.

  • EverGreen Launches Amped Toyhauler Series

Middlebury, Ind.-based EverGreen Recreational Vehicles LLC has launched a new toyhauler travel trailer with its 2014 Amped series.
According to a press release, five new Amped floorplans ranging from 22 to 32 feet feature EverGreen’s exclusive Z-Frame Technology that results in a step-up forward bedroom to allow under-floor storage found only in large fifth-wheels. In addition to basement storage up front, the innovative frame on the new Amped toyhauler is set above the axles eliminating cumbersome wheel wells inside the payload area. This allows increased, wall-to-wall loading space for ATVs, side-by-sides and motorcycles without awkward wheel wells.
The new Amped toyhauler also features a standard eight-foot beavertail ramp, 3,000-pound capacity ramp door and EverGreen’s exclusive impact-resistant, vacuum-laminated ComposiTek interior walls.
“EverGreen has established a tradition of producing game-changing recreational vehicles, value-packed with all the equipment our customers request, and the new Amped toyhauler is just that,” said the company’s President and COO, Mark Boessler. “The Amped travel trailer is designed with higher clearance to handle the rough terrain motor sports demand, yet allows for more storage and equipment than any other toyhauler in its class.”
    Features of Z-frame technology include:
    • Z-Frame Technology allows for huge trunk space and pass-through basement storage. In addition, the raised bedroom has more storage under the queen-sized bed and in two large wardrobes with drawers. Large storage doors drop down for easy loading and close with slam latches. Z-Frame technology provides additional space for a standard 4,000-watt Onan generator and a lockable, large 4-battery capacity power compartment without compromising living space.
    • The Amped is ramped with standard beavertail. The standard beavertail on all Amped trailers makes loading and off-loading easier. Amped also has a full, eight-foot, 3,000-pound capacity ramp. A built-in toolbox is flush to the floor on all models. The entire floor of Amped toy haulers is engineered with marine grade plywood. D-ring tie downs are bolted to the frame.
    • By eliminating interior wheel wells, the frame allows for more loaded weight. The Amped Z-Frame Technology results in the floor system set over the axles eliminating cumbersome wheel wells inside the payload area. This allows more room side-to-side for easier loading and unloading.
    • Setting the frame over the axles provides higher ground clearance off road. Standard Equa-Flex suspension provides added stability and can adjust to the terrain. Standard 16-inch tires help improve the ride.
    • Amped toy hauler interior walls are built with a tough Composite Inner Shell vacuum laminated to the EverGreen’s signature DuraLite Double Welded Aluminum structure. Composites in the interior walls resist moisture, rot and mildew. Vacuum lamination and one-piece composite walls are stiffer and have a white, gel-coated exterior finish.
