  • Thor Motor Coach to Launch Floorplan Duo for Palazzo Diesel Pushers

    Elkhart, IN (July 18, 2012) -Theworld’s best selling motorhome brand, Thor Motor Coach has added the value driven 33.2 and 33.3 floorplans to the Palazzo line-up of diesel motorhomes.  The new 33.2 is targeted to satisfy the first time diesel pusher buyer or the seasoned veteran looking for luxury in a smaller space, while the 33.3 bunk house model provides exceptional sleeping capacity for the family with bunk beds.
    The 33.2 model carries over many of the same great features offered in the original 33.1 model, while providing a new perspective on travel.  The location of the dinette, sofa, and Euro-recliner make the living area very inviting with a leatherette sofa and euro-recliner. Both captain’s chairs swivel to become part of the living area when parked. The dinette arrangement allows for full view of the 32” LED TV.  Additional 33.2 features include a convertible linen closet which can accommodate an optional stackable washer/dryer and a large 30”x36” shower in the private bath.


    With the introduction of the 33.3 bunk house model, parents and grandparents now have a world class family motorhome that can sleep up to eight people; ten with the optional overhead drop down bunk bed.  The 32” LED TV is situated at the dinette for easy viewing from the dinette or sofa. Like other Palazzo models, a residential Whirlpool 18-cu.ft. refrigerator has plenty of room to keep all the food and beverages cold when hitting the road.  Extra wardrobe and drawer space is designed throughout the coach allowing all who travel ample storage space.


    Every Palazzo motorhome is built on the rugged Freightliner XC chassis equipped with a Cummins ISB diesel engine sporting 660-lb.ft of hill climbing torque.  New features on all Palazzo floorplans include a 95-gallon fresh water tank for extended dry camping, and optional overhead drop-down bunk in the cockpit for additional sleeping.

  • New Airstream International Sterling Trailer

    Jackson Center, Ohio  – Airstream, the most recognized RV manufacturer in North America, unveils its newest design to the world. The Airstream International Sterling Trailer, designed by architect Christopher Deam, is the latest statement from the brand that continues to push the limits of forward-looking design. The collaboration between Airstream and Deam continues the partnership that started more than a decade ago with the 2001 Airstream International CCD. 
    The most striking design feature of the International Sterling trailer is the use of anodized aluminum surfaces for the interior. Deam wanted to bring the unmistakable appearance of the Airstream’s exterior to the interior of the unit and use a premium, lustrous material that provided plenty of light and reflectivity. The aircraft-like aesthetic and modern monocoque design required high precision, resulting in a product that is both aggressively modern and timeless. 
    The Airstream International  trailer features bright yellow or purple woven vinyl flooring that has a soft, luxurious feel and is perfectly complemented by the white or black ultra-leather upholstery and classic midcentury Merimekko fabric used throughout the unit. All countertops and rooflockers are edged with pure aluminum extrusions which harmonize with the aluminum interior skin and premium fixtures in the galley and lavatory.

    Downtown Chicago is really a gem when it comes to family adventure. The huge museum campus houses the Field Museum of Natural History, Shedd Aquarium, and Adler Planetarium as well as Soldier Field, the oldest active stadium in the National Football League and home of the Chicago Bears.
    The museum campus is also nestled next to both MillenniumPark and Navy Pier. Millennium Park is a collection of gardens, architecture and beautiful landscaping that hosts a variety of activities from live entertainment in Pritzker Pavilion to family activities and exhibits. In addition, the park is home to CrownFountain, a 50 foot glass tower with video imaging that doubles as a mini-water park.
     Minutes away is Navy Pier. Navy Pier is home to the Chicago Children’s Museum as well as countless boat tours. In addition, Navy Pier is home to an 18- hole miniature golf course, carousel, and the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel which offers unparalleled views of the Chicago skyline, as well as other rides. The pier is also home to its very own IMAX theatre as well as many restaurants.
    There are many RV parks within 50 miles of downtown Chicago. One of the most popular is Illinois Beach State Park in Zion, IL. Only 45 minutes from downtown Chicago, Illinois Beach State Park sits on the shores of Lake Michigan.

    According to the travel channel Boyd’s Key West Campground is one of the top ten RV parks to visit. But I bet you’d like to see for yourselves. That’s right folks, it’s time to pack up the RV and hit the road!
    Boyd’s is a fully loaded RV resort with a boat ramp and docks, a heated pool with poolside Tiki and big screen, game room, ATM, 4 clean bath houses, dump station and pumpout service, dishwashing stations, and a convenience store.
