The Hamptons, towns of Southampton and East Hampton on the South Fork, Suffolk County, New York on the east end of Long Island, are famous for pricey real estate and vacationing celebrities.

The New York Times reports that the Hamptons also boast “the finest campgrounds in the Northeast, like Cedar Point County Park in East Hampton and Hither Hills State Park in Montauk.”

Parks like Cedar Point and Hither Hills offer vacations in the Hamptons for modest camping fees, far cheaper than vacation cottages that can cost thousands.

Camping may not feature the pampering of an expensive resort, but Hamptons campers do bring their high-end camping gear to get the most out of outdoor life.

According to Coachmen, Spirit of America Lite and the Spirit of America Lite SE trailers feature loads of storage space and standard equipment, but weight under 4,000 lbs. The Spirit of America SE is easily to towed, and its 19 ft. or 23 ft. lengths make it very easy to maneuver. Between 4,000 and 5,000 lbs., the Spirit of America Lite is still easy to tow, but the 25 ft. to 30 ft. lengths give you more living space and more storage opportunities. Both feature linoleum flooring throughout. The Spirit of America Superslide is a full size travel trailer with all of the amenities: slideouts, carpeted bedroom and living areas, large refrigerator, flush floor main slideout, exterior storage bays with up to 157 cubic feet capacity, and a fully equipped galley.

This concept for a new lunar rover was revealed by NASA at the Space 2007 conference in Long Beach, California. While first lunar rovers were open to space, requiring the driver to wear a spacesuit. The new lunar rover is a rolling habitat for astronauts, climate controlled and loaded with features…like any good RV should. The two spacesuits on the side are connected to the rover. Astronauts can climb into the suits to examine rocks and features on the surface, then climb out without the hassle of having to unpressurize the rover. This lunar RV is just a concept for now. RV Trade Digest reports that three Tiffin Motorhomes will be on display at the Branson Classic Collector Car Auction October 19-20. 300 antique, classic, vintage, muscle, sports and other collectible vehicles are scheduled to be auctioned.

Tiffin will have three high-end diesel pushers,two 2008 Allegro Buses and a Phaeton, on display. The Tiffin Motorhomes website features images and details on the 2008 Tiffin models.
