  • Colorado town may restrict RV parking in Wal-Mart lots

    RVers nationwide use Wal-Mart’s parking lots for handy overnight camping. After loading up on supplies, tired RVers can camp free of charge for the night.

    According to Gazette.com in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the town of Monument may restrict overnight camping in retail store parking lots.

    Some members of Monument’s board of trustees say that RVs clustered in parking lot are an eyesore. The new rules would not ban RV parking outright, but would restrict RVs to designated areas.

    Defenders of RV retail parking counter that there are not enough RV campgrounds in the area and that there have been few, if any, complaints.
