The Rise of RVBNB: Monetizing Your RV Through Rentals

Are you interested in RV ownership but concerned by the potential expenses? Consider a different perspective on the financial value of owning an RV: renting it out during periods of non-use. In recent years, a new trend has taken hold in the travel and hospitality industry—RVBNB, a clever adaptation of the popular accommodation rental platform Airbnb. RVBNB empowers RV owners to monetize their vehicles by offering them for rent to travelers in search of unique and exhilarating adventures on the open road. If you’re an RV owner eager to tap into this growing market and transform your vehicle into a lucrative asset, this guide from RV Trader is your roadmap to success in the realm of RV rentals.

    Platforms for RV Rentals

There are several online platforms that specialize in RV rentals, making it easy for owners to connect with renters. Popular options include Outdoorsy, RVshare, and RVezy. These platforms provide a user-friendly interface for listing your RV, managing bookings, and communicating with qualified renters. They also offer insurance options and secure payment processing to protect both parties involved in the rental transaction.

    The Financial Potential

Renting out your RV can be lucrative, with rates varying depending on size, amenities, age, condition, and demand. On average, owners can earn $100 to $300 per night, with luxury RVs commanding higher rates.

Adjust prices seasonally or offer discounts for longer rentals to attract more renters. By strategically pricing your RV rental, you can maximize earnings and ensure steady bookings. If using a rental site, know that many have guidelines on pricing and how to maximize your rental income.

    Rental Times

RV rentals cater to diverse traveler preferences, ranging from short weekend getaways to month-long adventures. As an owner, consider your comfort level and availability when deciding on rental times. Short-term rentals offer the advantage of flexibility, allowing you to maintain more control over your RV’s availability and usage. However, they may require more effort in terms of turnover between renters. On the other hand, long-term rentals provide a steady income and reduce the need for frequent turnover, but they may limit your ability to use your RV for personal trips.

By offering flexible rental times, you can attract a wider range of renters and maximize your earning potential while ensuring a balance that suits your lifestyle as an RV owner.

    Insurance Needs

Insurance is a crucial aspect of renting out your RV to protect yourself and your vehicle against any unforeseen circumstances. Many RV rental platforms offer insurance options tailored specifically for RV owners, covering liability, collision, and comprehensive damages. Before listing your RV for rent, ensure you understand the insurance coverage provided and any additional options available to ensure adequate protection during the rental period.

    Stationary Rentals vs. Traveling Rentals

In addition to traditional RV rentals for travel, some owners choose to rent out their vehicles for stationary use, such as seasonal stays at RV parks or campgrounds. Stationary rentals offer a different experience, catering to individuals or families looking for a home away from home without the hassle of driving. Owners can choose to pay a seasonal fee to keep their RV stationary at a park, allowing them to offer a unique accommodation experience to renters.

With stationary rentals, you have the opportunity to enhance the experience by offering a fully stocked campsite complete with extra amenities, potentially increasing your earnings and providing renters with a hassle-free and memorable stay.

Compare prices for new and pre-owned travel trailers for sale online.

With the rise of RVBNB, RV owners have a unique opportunity to monetize their vehicles and capitalize on the growing demand for alternative travel accommodations. By listing your RV on rental platforms, setting competitive prices, and ensuring proper insurance coverage, you can turn your RV into a profitable asset while providing memorable experiences for travelers exploring the open road.

There’s never been a better time to join the RV rental revolution and unlock the earning potential of your RV. Ready to take the plunge? Get started today by purchasing your own RV with RVTrader and start renting out your adventure on wheels!

  • 2024 Grech RV Turismo-Ion Tour AWD

2024 Grech RV Turismo-Ion Tour AWD

The Grech RV Turismo-ion Tour is designed to take you — and up to three of your favorite traveling companions — off the beaten path for a carefree and flawless RV camping experience. The smallest Class B in the Grech RV lineup, the Turismo-ion is a nimble and efficient 19-foot, all-electric RV with a144-inch wheelbase. As with all Grech RVs, the Turismo-ion is built on a fully loaded diesel Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. Together, the shorter wheelbase and fully featured chassis give the Turismo-ion Tour AWD delightful maneuverability and prowess. This Class B is definitely meant to take you exploring roads less traveled and beyond.

The Difference in the Turismo-ion Floorplans

The Turismo-ion is available in two floorplans. The Tour is arranged with a lounge area in the back, with a sofa and two ottomans situated in the rear of the RV. A very cool Lagune table can also be set up quickly as needed. The Twin floorplan is the same as the Tour in every way, except two reclining sofas are arranged across from one another that, instead of the sofa and twin ottomans found in the Tour. In short, the Tour option  gives you room for more passengers (four); and the Twin adds additional space in the cabin to store larger items (like a surfboard, fishing gear, or a bicycle) between the sofas.

So, if you’re looking for a luxurious, expedition-ready, Class B that fits up to four people, the Turismo-ion Tour could be exactly what you’re looking for. Just like its bigger Class B siblings — the 24-foot Strada-ion and the 22-foot Terreno-ion — the Turismo-ion is loaded with luxurious amenities. And it’s ample proof that big things can come in small packages.

What You Asked Us to Review

RV Trader asked RV shoppers (like you) what was most important to them in their RV buying process. And those shoppers came up with a list of six key areas: sleeping space, bathroom, living area, kitchen, four-season capability, and storage.

Suffice it to say, you can expect those categories to be assessed in every RV review from RV Trader. You can also trust RV Trader to conduct an independent RV reviews process for each RV, hiring experienced RV experts to evaluate each model.

I’m Lynne, and that’s where I come in. I’m an RV expert, and when I review an RV, my goal is always to review it objectively. So, when RV Trader sent me to evaluate six Grech RV models and floorplans in Riverside, California, I did exactly that. I went over every inch of this RV and put together an objective, unbiased review that I hope will be valuable to RV shoppers.

So, let’s get rolling with my review of the Tour floorplan of the Grech RV Turismo-ion AWD RV.

    Sleeping Space

In the rear of this Class B, you’ll find a plush ultraleather, memory-foam sofa with twin ottomans and a 24-inch LED smart TV with a premium soundbar. When it’s time for bed, you can use either the phone app or one of two mounted Firefly touchscreen controllers, and the sofa and both ottomans transform into a massive and very comfortable 66-inch by  76-inch bed. Trust me, it’s much easier (and way more fun) to use a touchpad or app than to pull and push a sofa into position! In fact, I kind of suspect the Firefly technology  just might have spoiled me for more traditional approaches to Class B camping.

Now, if you like to watch TV or movies in bed (who doesn’t), you’ll love the reclining sofa in the Turismo-ion Tour. The Firefly app lets you pick your favorite recline angle for watching the TV. I loved that you can also adjust the angle of the smart TV to get a truly premium viewing experience.

Other undeniably cool features are 110V power outlets and USB charging outlets, complete with handy built-in shelves in the rear area of the Turismo RVs. This lets you plug in a laptop or charge smaller devices nearby while you sleep.

When It’s Time to Turn Out the Lights

Before you go to bed, you’ll want to go to the Firefly panel (or the Firefly App on your phone) and choose the Shades option. From there, you can choose the Master option to lower all the shades. Also, the panel or app lets you choose just the shades you want to lower with individual options. The Firefly system is nearly flawless technology that’s designed to be easy to use without any learning curve.

Another thing I loved in the Grech RVs are the insect screens on the side and rear doors. The power insect screen at the back drops from the top of the doorway to protect RV occupants. This feature lets you have the rear doors open without worrying about mosquitos coming in. That means, you could back the Turismo-ion Tour up to a beautiful lake. open the rear doors, drop the screen, and enjoy a beautiful view — without being bitten by bugs.

    Bathroom

The Turismo-ion Tour has a spacious wet bath that’s packed with features that give it an aura of elegant luxury. It’s true that many RV wet baths can feel cramped. But this one has an airy and spacious feel. One reason why is its concealed window and the three mirrors strategically placed to reflect light. Surfaces in the bathroom are light colored and glossy, which also helps them to reflect light. The end result is that lighting in this wet bath is so good that it would be easy to shave or do makeup. Those who desire more privacy can pull the manual shade closed (even though the window is already invisible from the outside). It’s always good to have options.

I also loved that the toilet is ceramic because ceramic RV toilets are easy to clean. Ceramic RV toilets maintain their appearance for much longer than the plastic toilets commonly found in RV bathrooms.

    Bathroom Features We Love
    • One-piece, easy-to-clean, high-gloss surface
    • Excellent lighting for shaving or makeup
    • Concealed bathroom window
    • Pull-out, multiposition shaving/makeup mirror
    • Pull-out faucet and transforms into a shower head
    • Multiple hooks for hanging towels and washcloths
    • Manual pull-down window shade
    • Cloth shower curtain to contain moisture
    • Large mirror that can be used outside the bathroom when door is open
    • Protected toilet tissue holder that keeps toilet tissue dry while someone showers

    Living Area

As mentioned, there’s a comfy lounge area at the rear of the Turismo-ion Tour floorplan. It has its own multiposition Lagun style table, which can be quickly deployed or removed as needed. It’s nice to have this separate seating area. That way RV travelers can use the front and rear of the RV for different activities. In addition to the lounge area, the Turismo-ion Tour’s sumptuous and fully adjustable captain’s chairs swivel around to face the main area of the RV. This creates an additional seating area without compromising room in this space conscious RV. What’s more, the seat closest to the door can be positioned to make use of a pop-up table that deploys from the end of the kitchen cabinetry.

I loved the versatility of this space-efficient floorplan. It’s actually laid out so someone could be relaxing in the rear lounge area watching TV or playing games while someone else could be doing work-related tasks in the front section. I also loved that the one-touch power side door has its own manually operated screen door to keep the bugs out of the RV. This lets you have the door open while you do things inside the RV.

    Taking the Living Space Outdoors

Outside, there’s a generous awning (with a wind sensor) that adds sheltered outdoor living area to the Turismo-ion Tour. The Firefly App (or touch pad) lets you easily control and adjust both the awning and its adjustable lighting. I loved the design-conscious way that Grech RV adds its power awning to the side of all of its RVs. Instead of just plunking it next to the roof of the RV and screwing it on, Grech RV maintains the visual integrity of their RV’s elegant exterior appearance. The result is an artistically aerodynamic and elegant design. It’s the kind of keen attention to detail that helps create trust in Grech RV’s craftsmanship and quality. These are the little things that make a big difference in how you perceive an RV brand.

To take even more living space outdoors, the exterior side of the rear door power shade is white. With the rear doors open, it makes a perfect projection screen for enjoying movie nights under the stars. All you’d need to add would be a starry night, a projector and popcorn. I was impressed that Grech RV made one side of this particular shade white on all its 2025 RVs in response to a customer input — an often underused commodity in the RV industry.

    Kitchen

The kitchen area of the Turismo-ion Tour has a lot of features that we’ve become accustomed to seeing in larger RVs. There’s a lot to love in this functional kitchen. The gorgeous quartz countertops maximize counter space with a two-induction cooktop and a removable insert that can be placed over the deep, farmhouse-style sink. At the end of the kitchen cabinets, there’s a well-placed pop-up table that can either add to the kitchen work area or be used as a table/desk. All of this makes for an unexpectedly practical and functional galley-style kitchen in a Class B.

The Turismo-ion Tour AWD boasts an energy-efficient induction range, a combination convection oven/air fryer/microwave, and a small fridge. Kitchen storage is adequate in gorgeous solid hardwood cabinets and drawers. Here’s a list of the features I loved about this RV kitchen.

    • Flip-up work surface/table
    • Quartz countertops
    • Two-burner induction stove
    • Combination microwave/convection/air fryer
    • Large farmhouse-style sink
    • Faucet with pull-out sprayer
    • Large 12V refrigerator with bottom freezer
    • Plenty of storage in hardwood cabinets and drawers
    • Integrated flip out storage caddy under the sink for dishwashing tools

    Four-Season Capability

Grech RV puts multiple layers of insulation into all its RV floors, walls, and ceilings. Freshwater and gray water tanks are insulated and heated too. The Gree air conditioner doubles as a delightfully quiet heat pump that keeps things nice and cozy when you want to camp in cooler temperatures. However, when it’s really cold out, you have options. There’s a quiet Timberline heater that operates on diesel. It’s nice to have the choice of two different heating appliances. Neither of which involve filling/lugging a propane bottle.

While all these features help occupants to stay comfortable, Grech RV spokesperson John Black is quick to point out that these RVs are not designed to be used in extreme cold (e.g., a typical Canadian winter). However, these RVs will keep you comfortable for four seasons where winter temperatures are even slightly milder. With that in mind, the Turismo-ion Tour is probably better classified as a three-and-a-half-season camper.

    Storage Space

For its size, the Turismo-ion Tour AWD has impressive storage capacity inside. In the cabin, that storage takes the form of spacious, beautifully handcrafted hardwood cabinets. There’s lots of room to store all the essentials including bedding, clothing, and food. There’s enough room here to store everything you need for a road trip or a few days of camping. We were also delighted to find multiple shelves and cubbies throughout the RV where you could securely stash a book or an electronic device.

One drawback of the Tour floorplan is that you need to be creative to store larger items — like grills, bicycles, or camp chairs. Being a Class B, the cabin crowds quickly. However, the Turismo-ion Tour’s 5000-pound towing capacity makes it easy enough to tow a small trailer that could carry these items and more.

A Closer Look at Those Cabinets

Cabinets in Grech RVs are beautifully crafted from high grade birch plywood using light or dark wood veneers. But it’s not all about beauty here: There is no MDF (otherwise known as particle board) in these cabinets at all. This gives the cabinets stronger structural integrity and helps ensure their longevity. It’s also another nice touch of luxury from Grech RV.

The cabinets are also highly functional. They lock with an easy click of a pop-out button on the cabinet handle. Locking the cabinets keeps them from opening and spilling their contents while you’re bumping along a campground road.

    Final Thoughts for a Buyer

    More Than Just Good Looks

All Grech RVs have a refined and understated elegance. And those good looks have an additional benefit: They blend into daily life naturally. From the outside, the Turismo-ion Tour AWD looks very much like an ordinary Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van. The appliances and extrusions on its roof are painted to match the exterior color. So, unless you have a discerning eye, it’s hard to tell you’re looking at an RV. For an RVer who lives in an HOA community, it’s a natural fit.

Another cool feature is that there isn’t a single utility access hole cut into side walls of Grech RVs. Instead, all the utility access points are concealed beneath a protective strip of stainless steel along the bottom quarter of the RV. Sure, it’s in keeping with the Turismo-ion Tour’s elegant appearance. But again, there is more to this than good looks. This feature is highly functional: No intrusion points mean fewer places water can get in. It also means you don’t need to protect your RV from water damage with yearly resealing.

The Turismo-ion Tour Is a Joy to Drive

The Turismo-ion Tour AWD is built on a fully optioned Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. Comfortable seats are essential to enjoying any road trip. In the Turismo you get adjustable heated and cooled driver and front passenger seats. Both driver and passenger seats have programmable memory for the seat position preferences of up to 2 people. Both driver and front passenger get a sumptuous, memory foam captain chair that has lumbar support.

A raised driving position and expansive windows offered an impressive view of the road. All the controls are easy to find and within easy reach while you’re driving. The list of goodies includes a nice, big touchscreen that includes a back-up camera and an on-board navigation system. The Turismo-ion Tour AWD handled beautifully. It felt remarkably responsive and had plenty of power for climbing hills. The Turismo would be just at home running around town as it would be exploring the backcountry.

On that note. The Turismo-ion Tour AWD is well-equipped to take you off the grid for up to six days at a time. It’s kitted out with 200 Watts of solar panels, and a 1,260 amp-hour lithium-ion battery package as well as a 3000-Watt Xantrex inverter. The Turismo-ion Tour even charges its batteries whenever you’re driving.

    Favorite driving features
    • Fantastic visibility of the road from the driver’s position
    • Off-road capability
    • Nimble enough for getting around a busy city with ease
    • Lots of power
    • Easy to operate navigation system
    • Great stereo
    • Backup camera
    • Rain sensors
    • Parking sensors
    • Super comfortable captain’s chair with fully customizable seat and back positions with preset controls for multiple drivers
    • Sublimely comfortable captain’s seat

    The Definition of Integrity

After exploring the interior and exterior features of the Grech RVs I can’t say I was surprised when I looked underneath the chassis. Here’s what I found. A look underneath the Turismo-ion’s larger sister model — the Strada-ion Tour — revealed an incredibly neat and tidy undercarriage. Nothing was out of place. There were no mystery wires. There were no misplaced screws. Instead, there were gleaming stainless-steel brackets. And perfect welds. And not a nut or bolt out of place.

Not only that, the holding tanks were custom-made to fit perfectly under the RV, to help ensure that no space is wasted, providing Turismo owners with the maximum possible holding capacity. Clearly, Grech RV cares so much about quality that they enforce it in places no one else is looking.

It’s Not Just the Build — It’s After the Sale Service

That integrity extends to their service experience. Grech RV raises the bar for the RV industry with its quick response to customer concerns and outstanding commitment to both quality and customer service — a huge and often overlooked differentiator.

For Grech RV owner who have issues with their RV, they are advised to give Grech RV — not their dealer —the first call. As a result, Grech RV has been able to diagnose over 90 percent of problems without an owner ever having to waste time, money, or energy with maintenance. And if a repair is required, Grech RV helps arrange for an approved technician to fix it right away.

Tampa Bay RV Summer Show: 2024 Guide

Multiple RV dealers, a daily door prize, and a chance to take your RV research journey up a whole new level. The Tampa Bay RV Summer Show is an all-around win.

Let’s be clear: There are a lot of great reasons to head down to Tampa in June. Warm weather and bright beaches? Check. Thrilling theme parks by day and tantalizing night life after dark? You bet. But don’t forget to keep the Tampa Bay RV Summer Show near the top of your to-see-in-Tampa list.

The Florida State Fairgrounds kick things off at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, and continue through Sunday, June 9, giving you an awesome opportunity to stop and shop multiple RV models in a sea of RV dealers.

Here’s why the Tampa Bay RV Summer Show is the perfect opportunity for an RV shopping spree — even if you’re just window shopping.

Less Crowds — but Still Lots of RVs

Although it’s the very same location as the annual Florida RV SuperShow that’s hosted in January, the scale is much different. Shoppers still get the full RV show experience — but with a more medium-sized crowd. Attendance for the Tampa Bay RV Summer Show projects closer to 7,500 than the 75,000 plus common at the winter SuperShow.

Not everybody loves the massive crowd of a SuperShow. (Getting away from the crowd is why a lot of us RV!) So, the more manageable size of the Tampa show is absolutely goldilocks for lots of folks. And by that, we mean it’s just right.

Multiple RV Dealers in One Location

The smaller scale also has another big benefit: Less competition for time dealing directly with RV dealers. And, as with any show, there’s the huge convenience of having multiple RV dealers in one place. You can compare models and prices, floorplans and features — all in-person. That puts you at a huge advantage as an RV buyer.

Here are the RV dealers who will have inventory on-site in Tampa:

    • Blue Compass
    • General RV Center
    • Gerzeny’s RV World
    • Gulf Atlantic Cottages
    • Lazydays RV

A Chance to Take Your Research Offscreen

Look, we’d be the last people in the world to criticize folks for RV shopping online. After all, who makes RV shopping easier than RV Trader? But there is just something awesome about turning that pocket computer off and stepping into the RV you’ve been dreaming about. You get to find out if that new feature or floorplan is as incredible as you expected it to be. Plus, you get to sit, stand, crouch, and crash into the comforts of a bunch of other RVs to compare it with.

So, you just might drive off with the RV you’ve been dreaming about. Or, like the RV Romeo that you are, you might spark a romance for an even more perfect model.

All this to say: The Tampa Bay RV Summer Show is a prime opportunity to take your RV buyer research to the next level. Plus, whether you end up buying an RV or not, you’ll also still get a shot at a $100 American Express gift card that one lucky winner draws each day as a door prize. And when your day on the fairgrounds is done, you’re still in Tampa. That, my friend, is an all-around win.

  • 2025 Grech RV Terreno-Ion Twin AWD Review

2025 Grech RV Terreno-Ion Twin AWD Review

Looking for a two-person Class B RV that will take you off-grid, but don’t want to forgo any modern conveniences? You’re going to love the luxurious Grech RV Terreno-ion Twin AWD. This mid-sized Class B is designed to get you and your favorite traveling companion well off the beaten path for a carefree and flawless RV camping experience.

Available in AWD, the Grech RV Terreno-ion has two well-considered floorplans: the Tour and the Twin. Both floorplans are built on a fully electric, fully optioned, 170-inch Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. The 22-foot, 8-inch Terreno-ion is roughly two feet shorter than its siblings, the extended Grech RV Strada-ion Lounge and Tour models. This makes it nimble and better suited to go boondocking off-road than its slightly longer sibling. Right in the middle of the Grech RV line, the Terreno-ion Twin is also almost two feet longer than the smallest RV in Grech’s lineup, the Grech RV Turismo-ion.

    Two Terreno-Ion Floorplans

There are some key differences between the Terreno-ion’s two floorplans that make each of them appeal to a different RV buyer. To start with, the Tour floorplan has seat belts for up to seven passengers, while the Twin floorplan only has seating for two people. However, the big upside of the Twin floorplan is the extra space for extra large toys — bikes, paddleboards, et cetera — between the twin sofas.

So, if you’re looking for a spacious and luxurious Class B that’s perfect for one or two people, with more space to store your gear, the Grech RV Terreno-ion Twin floorplan could be exactly what you’re looking for.

    Challenges

    • Some might not like having a wet bath.
    • No outdoor storage. The storage space you get in the Terreno-ion Twin is in the cabin between the seats.

    Who Is This For?

    • Singles or couples who want more amenities than the standard camper van supplies are right in the Terreno-ion Twin’s wheelhouse.
    • The Terreno-ion Twin AWD is perfect for boondocking off the grid, with its robust off-road handling, solar power package, and lithium-ion battery storage,
    • Digital nomads or other RVers who like road trips are going to love this.

    How RV Trader Does Reviews

At RV Trader, we asked RV shoppers (like you) what was most important to them in their RV buying process. And those shoppers came up with a list of six key areas: sleeping space, bathroom, living area, kitchen, four-season capability, and storage. So, you can expect those categories to be evaluated in every RV Trader review.

RV Trader is committed to an independent RV reviews process and hires experienced RV experts to evaluate each model.

I’m Lynne, and that’s where I came in. I’m an RV expert. When I review RVs, my goal is always to perform each review objectively. And when RV Trader sent me to the Grech RV showroom in Riverside, California, I did exactly that. While there, I carefully examined the Terreno-ion Twin AWD in person. Here’s what I saw.

    Sleeping Space

In the rear of this RV, you’ll find two comfy ultraleather sofas that face one another along with an entertainment center that includes an LED smart TV and a premium soundbar. When it’s time for bed, I loved that I could simply use either the wall mounted Firefly touchscreen controller or the phone app to recline both sofas into a comfortable 66-inch by 76-inch bed.

With that being said, each sofa is in itself a comfortable sleeping space, so two travelers can sleep separately too.

Before you go to bed, you’ll want to go to the Firefly panel (or the Firefly App on your phone) and choose Shades. From there, you can either choose the Master option to lower all the shades, or just choose the shades you want to lower with individual options.

    A Little Fresh Air

I always like sleeping with the windows open so I was delighted to find that Grech RV campers have a power screen that drops down to fully protect the interior from bugs. I could easily imagine waking up in the morning, rear doors wide open, enjoying a stunning view in one of the many beautiful places across the US. Nice touch, Grech.

Other cool features you’ll find in the sleeping area include the handy 110V power outlets and USB charging outlets complete with built in shelves. This feature lets you charge your electronics while you sleep (or whenever).

    Bathroom

The Twin floorplan has a spacious wet bath that’s packed with features. Like everything Grech RV does in the RVs I looked at, the bathroom was seamlessly elegant. There’s plenty of good light for shaving or makeup, for those that are so inclined. Walls are glossy and easy to keep clean, without any seams to maintain. In addition, there were a lot of little details here that added up to a well-appointed bathroom that felt far from cramped.

One of these details is the window in the bathroom that’s ingeniously concealed from the outside. However, there’s still a pull-down shade for additional privacy. (It’s always nice to have options.) There are also three mirrors that help the bathroom in the Terreno-ion Twin feel spacious and airy. One of these is mounted on the door so it can be used outside the bathroom when the door is open.

I loved that there’s a ceramic toilet with a macerator in the bathroom. Ceramic toilets are a breeze to clean compared to their plastic counterparts. Having a macerator helps to keep black tank odors at bay and minimizes black-tank-related chores.

Other cool features in the bathroom of the Terreno-ion Twin are:
    • Excellent lighting for shaving or makeup
    • Generous vanity mirror
    • Pullout, multi-position shaving/makeup mirror
    • Faucet that transforms into a shower head
    • Hooks for hanging towels and washcloths
    • Concealed window with a window shade for privacy
    • Ceramic toilet with macerator
    • Cloth shower curtain
    • Large mirror on door
    • Protected toilet tissue holder to keep toilet tissue dry

    Living Area

Aside from the lounge area at the rear of the RV with its own Lagun style table, the Terreno-ion Twin’s fully adjustable front seats swivel to face the living area. This gives you additional seating options. I loved that the captain’s chair closest to the one-touch power door can be positioned to make use of a little table that pops out from the end of the kitchen cabinets. This could give you an extra work surface, or it could be used to extend the kitchen countertops.

No potentially useful space is wasted in the Terreno-ion Twin floorplan. With that being said, the driver’s seat also swivels to face a smaller flip up table that can extend from the wall behind it. So two remote workers could work side-by-side and work on projects together.

I really liked the versatility of the Twin. It’s laid out so people could be relaxing in the rear lounge area while others are doing work related tasks at the front. And all this can be done with the power side door open because it has its own screen door to protect against insects.

    Extending the Space Outside

Outside, there’s a generous awning (with a wind sensor) that adds sheltered outdoor living area to the Terreno-ion Twin. The Firefly App (or touch pad) lets you control both the awning and its adjustable lighting. I loved the design-conscious way that Grech RV adds its power awning to the side of all Grech RVs. Instead of just plunking it next to the roof of the RV and screwing it on, Grech RV maintains the visual integrity of their RV’s elegant exterior appearance. The result is an artistically aerodynamic design that reveals keen attention to detail.

In addition, the power shade that drops from the top of the rear doorway is white on the outside. This happens to make it a perfect movie screen. All you’d need to add is a starry night, a projector and popcorn for a perfect movie night under the stars.

    Kitchen

The galley-style kitchen area of the Terreno-ion Twin has enough cool features to keep almost any camp chef happy. After all, this functional kitchen boasts gorgeous quartz countertops, a surprising amount of storage space, a farmhouse sink with a pull-down faucet, and versatile appliances that make the most of limited space. For appliances, The Terreno-ion Twin offers an induction range, a combination convection oven/air-fryer/microwave, and a generous fridge with a roomy freezer on the bottom.

As with any Class B RV kitchen, counter space is limited here. But not to worry: Grech RV gets around this inherent issue with an integrated induction cooktop and a removable countertop cover that fits over the sink to increase usable counter surface.  As previously mentioned, there’s also a flip-up table/work surface mentioned earlier that could be used as a kitchen area too. All of this makes for a surprisingly practical and functional galley style kitchen in this 22-foot, 8-inch RV.

    Storage and Stuff

Kitchen storage is contained in many solid hardwood cabinets and drawers. I really loved that all the Grech RVs have locking cabinets so dry goods and dishes stay in place. This is perhaps especially handy when you go off road to more remote campsites. Here’s a list of other features I loved about the kitchen in the Terreno-ion Twin.

    • Flip-up work surface/table
    • Quartz countertops
    • Two-burner induction stove
    • Combination microwave/convection/airfryer
    • Big,“farmhouse style sink
    • Faucet with pull-out sprayer
    • Large 12V refrigerator with a separate freezer
    • Plenty of storage in hardwood cabinets and drawers
    • A handy flip-out storage caddy under the sink for a pot scrubber or other dishwashing tools

    Four-Season Capability

Grech RV puts multiple layers of insulation into all of its RV floors, walls, and ceilings. Freshwater and gray water tanks are insulated and heated too. The Gree air conditioner doubles as a delightfully quiet heat pump. However, in really cold weather, there’s an efficient Timberline heater that operates on diesel. It’s nice to have both options and nicer still to not have to worry about filling and lugging propane bottles. There’s enough in the Grech RVs to keep you comfy and cozy for at least most of the year.

However, Grech RV spokesperson John Black was quick to point out that these RVs are not designed for use in extreme cold (e.g., a typical Canadian winter). With that said, these RVs are designed for comfortable camping for four seasons where winter temperatures are relatively mild and three seasons where winter temperatures drop well below freezing.

    Storage Space

One of the challenges of most Class B RVs is where to put stuff so it stays organized enough that we can find it. Both floorplans of the Terreno-ion have impressive storage capacity in many spacious and beautifully handcrafted birch hardwood cabinets. However, the twin bed floorplan also has the advantage of having a perfect storage space for fishing gear, a paddleboard, or a bicycle in the space between the two sofas at the back of the RV.

The Terreno-ion Twin beds include a massive wardrobe cabinet near the front of the RV. It’s big enough to hold items like jackets and/or camping chairs. However If you need more space to store food, the wardrobe cabinet could easily lend itself to pantry storage with the addition of shelves. We were also delighted to find lots of shelves throughout the Terreno-ion Twin that could be used to stash books, laptops, or electronic devices.

    Side Note on the Cabinets

Cabinets in Grech RVs are beautifully hand-crafted from high grade birch plywood available in either a light or dark stain. It’s a relief that there is no MDF (otherwise known as particle board) in Grech RVs. MDF has a tendency to swell and disintegrate over time in any RV. It’s a real annoyance that shortens the useful life of many RVs. Compared to MDF, plywood is impervious to moisture and offers structural integrity to cabinets.

There’s a wonderful amount of (lit) cabinet space in the Terreno-ion Twin. Note: No particle board here. The cabinets are high-grade birch plywood, which you can get with a light or dark stain.

    Buyers Should Also Know

    Exterior Niceties

As previously noted, Grech RVs have a refined and understated elegance. From the outside, they look very much like an ordinary Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van. Appliances and extrusions on the roof of these RVs are painted to match the exterior color. So unless you have a discerning eye, it’s hard to tell you’re looking at an RV. It makes them an especially natural fit for RVers that live in HOA communities.

Another cool feature is that there isn’t a single utility access hole cut into the side walls of Grech RVs. Instead, all of the utility access points are concealed beneath a protective strip of stainless steel along the bottom quarter of the RV. Again, it’s in keeping with the RV’s elegant appearance. However, there is more to this than good looks. It’s this: No intrusion points means fewer places water can get in. It also means you don’t need to protect your RV from water damage with yearly resealing.

    It’s a Pleasure to Drive

While I didn’t get to test drive this particular floorplan, my test drives of two other Grech RVs reconfirmed my love for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. The 4-cylinder, 9-speed diesel chassis is fun to drive. To start with, Its raised driving position and expansive windshield offer an impressive view of the road. The fully optioned chassis gives you fully adjustable heated and cooled driver and front passenger seats. Each of them can be programmed to remember the precise seat position of up to three drivers. The seats themselves feature comforts like memory foam, heating, cooling, and lumbar support.

All of the driver’s controls are easy to find and well within reach. This includes Mercedes’ easy to operate touch screen with on board navigation. Apart from that, this vehicle handled beautifully. It was remarkably responsive and felt quick and had plenty of power, even on steep grades.

    Favorite Driving Features
    • Fantastic visibility of the road from the driver’s position
    • Easy to operate navigation system
    • Great stereo
    • Backup camera
    • Rain sensors
    • Parking sensors
    • Super comfortable captain’s chair with fully customizable seat and back positions with preset controls for multiple drivers
    • Sublimely comfortable captain’s seat

    Impressions About Grech RV

Grech RV is a relative newcomer to the RV industry. However, this family-owned company has been making sought after luxury limousines and buses for more than 40 years. So Grech RV had time to develop its luxury vehicle game long before jumping into the RV market in 2021.

Right from the start, Grech RV did away with most of the pain-points that RVers often have with Class B RVs. Further, the attention to detail in Grech RVs is phenomenal. Every contour, every feature and every amenity has been meticulously thought out and exquisitely crafted.

Grech RV raised the bar for the RV industry within a few short years of its entry into the RV industry with its quick response to customer concerns and outstanding commitment to both quality and customer service — a huge and often overlooked differentiator in the industry.

    The Customer Service Difference

If a customer has an issue with their RV, they are advised to give Grech RV — not their dealer — the first call. (They even give you a personal number.) Giving Grech RV the first call helps owners to diagnose over 90 percent of problems. Which reduces wasted time, money, and energy over maintenance. If maintenance is required, Grech RV helps arrange for an approved technician to fix it right away. Frankly, it’s a commitment to service we’d love to see the entire RV industry match.

  • 2025 Grech RV Strada-Ion Tour Review

2025 Grech RV Strada-Ion Tour Review

The Grech RV Strada-ion Tour is a masterpiece of quality and design. Based on the Strada line that launched Grech RV’s reputation in the RV world, this fully electric RV exemplifies uncompromising luxury. To start with, 24-foot Class B motorhome is built around a fully optioned, diesel-powered Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. Then Grech RV outfits it with an air suspension that gives it an incredibly smooth ride.

Inside, Grech RV designs and crafts the Strada-ion Tour with a well-considered floorplan — and every amenity you can imagine in a Class B RV. There’s even a power system that includes 300W solar panels and 1260 amp hours of lithium-ion battery storage. That means the Strada-ion can take you away from it all and go off-grid for up to six days straight! Grech RV has really thought of every detail to make your RV experience absolutely flawless. To top it all off, Grech’s responsive customer service is almost unheard of in the RV world.

With the Strada-ion, Grech RV lets you choose between two luxurious floorplans. So what makes this plan — the Tour — different from the Strada-ion Lounge we reviewed? The biggest differences between these two RVs lies in seating, cabin storage, and fridge capacity. The Strada-ion Lounge has two extra captain’s chairs behind the cockpit and seats up to nine altogether. The Strada-ion Tour seats seven but also provides additional storage in a large wardrobe and gives owners a much larger refrigerator/freezer combo. Both floorplans sleep two when the lounge area transforms itself into a big, comfortable bed.

    Challenges

    • The Strada-ion Tour is a Class B RV. That means there is an inherent lack of space, even though this RV feels light and bright inside. You can travel with up to seven (which makes for a fun day trip with the family), but there is definitely only sleeping space for two in this luxurious rig. If you take the crew on a multiday trip, some crew members are going to have to be happy sleeping in a tent or finding a hotel room. (Sometimes this can be advantageous though — it’s nice to reclaim your space for the night.)
    • There are no outdoor storage bays. (Another Class B thing.)  Outdoor storage provides easy and mess-free access to outdoor camping gear (chairs, grills, shelters etc). The only thing similar to outdoor storage in the Strada-ion RVs is the storage space behind the sofa. (That means gear would have to be removed before you could transform the sofa and ottomans into a bed.) With that being said, the wardrobe does offer a storage alternative for outdoor gear.

    Who Is This For?

    • This would be a perfect Class B RV for grandparents looking to make memories with their family on day trips and camping adventures.
    • Digital nomads will love spacious floorplan and cabin storage capacity for work/travel.
    • RVers who want the option of using their RV to attend events or tailgate picnics with a few very lucky friends.

    The RV Trader Review Process

At RV Trader, we asked RV shoppers (like you) what was most important to them in their RV buying process. And those shoppers came up with a list of six key areas: sleeping space, bathroom, living area, kitchen, four-season capability, and storage. So, you can expect those categories to be evaluated in every RV Trader review.

RV Trader is committed to a completely independent and unbiased RV reviews process. That way you have trustworthy and honest reviews you can rely on. That’s why

RV Trader sent me — a self-confessed RV fanatic and expert — to Grech RV in beautiful Riverside, California. I was there to evaluate the Strada-ion Tour, along with five other Grech RVs. My goal is always to look at each RV objectively. That way, RV shoppers will have a completely unbiased review they can use to research the key areas that they want to know more about.

I checked out every inch of the Strada-ion Tour, from the chassis up.  Let’s dig into what I found.\

    Sleeping Space

In the very back of this RV, you’ll find a very comfortable sofa and two ottomans that transform into a comfortable sleeping area. I loved the way Grech makes it so easy to do this. Many Class Bs have ingenious ways to change a sofa into a bed. They often involve some degree of physical effort. The thing is, when I’m tired enough for bed, the last thing I want to do is expend more of my depleted energy.

Both Grech RV’s wall-mounted Firefly touchpad and Firefly app let you effortlessly transform the Strada Ion Tour’s memory foam sofa and ottomans into a comfy bed. By comfy, I mean a spacious 66-inch by 76-inch bed that I could have easily fallen asleep on. If there are two adults in the space, they can adjust each ottoman to make an aisle at the foot of the bed.  In theory, this could make it easier for one person to get out of bed at night with less chance of disturbing the other.

With that being said, Grech RV has you covered if you like to watch a show to unwind before falling asleep. Just use the app to turn down the lights, then recline the back of the sofa to the perfect angle. I loved that the lounge area has a good quality 24-inch LED Smart TV and a fantastic soundbar to watch movies. A convenient feature for me were the multiple built-in shelves for charging devices while you sleep. I also like fresh air when I sleep so I really appreciated the power screen that drops down over the rear doorway. It’s just nice to be able to open the rear doors of the RV to enjoy fresh air and views without being bothered by bugs.

    Bathroom

The Strada Lounge has a surprisingly spacious wet bath that’s packed with nice little luxuries. Even if you’re more of a dry bath person (like me) there’s a good chance you’ll love this  wet bath (I did). Class B wet baths usually feel a tad claustrophobic. To counter this, Grech put a window in the bathroom that’s completely hidden from the outside. It’s a cool feature. Plus it has a pull down shade that offers additional privacy if you need it. But that’s not all. All told there are three mirrors in the bathroom that really help to amplify light and make the bathroom seem roomy.

Everybody likes having a restroom on board. However, I feel like it’s safe to say that nobody loves dumping the black tank. The Strada-ion Tour addresses this with ceramic flush toilet with a macerator to make the job as inoffensive as possible while eliminating black tank odors in the RV. The macerator effectively grinds waste or TP, so it enters the black tank as liquid.  This eliminates the need to carry and store a stinky slinky. Other cool features in the bathroom of the Strada-ion Tour are:

    • Easy to clean surfaces
    • Great lighting
    • Three mirrors including a pullout mirror for shaving or makeup
    • Faucet that converts to a shower head
    • Hooks to hang towels and washcloths
    • Manual pull-down window shade
    • Cloth shower curtain
    • Large mirror that can be used outside the bathroom when door is open
    • Protected toilet tissue holder

Not many Class Bs can pull off a full wet bath. The Strada-ion Tour does. And it doesn’t even feel cramped.

    Living Area

Aside from the lounge area at the rear of the RV with its own Lagun style table, the Tour’s fully adjustable front seats swivel to face the living area and provide additional seating space.  But that’s not all: The seat closest to the door can be positioned to use the flip up countertop as an additional work surface.  The driver’s seat also swivels to face a small, flip up work surface that’s mounted on the wall behind it.

    Inside

Grech RV has also taken into account the entertainment requirements of families that travel too.  An example is the 24-inch LED smart TV in the lounge area at the rear of this RV that can be connected to a separate gaming system as well as Bluetooth.

I loved the practicality of this floorplan. The Tour is laid out with two more or less distinct areas. This means travelers can relax in the rear lounge area without disturbing someone doing work related tasks in the front section of the RV. By the way, the side door also has an insect screen side door open because it has a screen door to protect against insects..

    And Outside!

I loved the way that Grech RV artfully added the power awning to the side of the RV, carefully integrating it into a sleek and elegant exterior design. The awning lets you easily add sheltered outdoor living area to the Tour. It has dimmable lights for evening gatherings, or in case you just want to sit outside and enjoy the sounds of nature.

The power shade at the back of the RV is very cool.  That’s because this power shade is more than a mere shade. It can double as an outdoor movie screen with the addition of popcorn and a projector for a movie night under the stars. What a great way to make memories with the family!

    Kitchen

The kitchen area of the Strada-ion Tour has a lot of features that we’ve become accustomed to finding in larger RVs. There’s a lot to love in this functional kitchen, including gorgeous quartz countertops.  However, like any Class B RV kitchen, counter space is inherently limited.

Grech gets around this common issue with a countertop-integrated induction cooktop and cover over the big farmhouse-style sink. On top of that, they’ve added extra counter space with a flip up table/work surface next to the sliding side door.  It all makes for an unexpectedly practical and functional kitchen area.

In addition, this floorplan boasts a combination convection oven/air fryer/microwave, a very generous fridge and freezer and lots of storage space in the solid hardwood cabinets and drawers.  The Tour floor plan also has a good-sized wardrobe that could double as a pantry area. Here’s a list of features our experts loved about the kitchen in the Strada Ion Tour.

    • Flip-up countertop
    • Two-burner induction Stove
    • Combination microwave/convection/air fryer
    • Big, farmhouse-style sink with pull-out faucet
    • Quartz countertop
    • Faucet with pull-out sprayer
    • Large refrigerator/freezer combo
    • Oodles of cabinet storage
    • A handy flip out storage spot under the sink for pot scrubbers and other dishwashing tools

    Four-Season Capability

Like all the Grech RVs, the Strada-ion Tour boasts multiple layers of insulation in its floors, walls and ceilings as well as heated freshwater and gray water tanks. While this helps occupants to stay comfortable and cozy when it’s either hot or cold outside, Grech RV spokesperson John Black is quick to point out that these RVs are not designed to be used in extreme cold (e.g., a typical Canadian winter). With that said, these RVs will keep you comfortable for four seasons where winter temperatures are milder than those in the Great White North.

    Storage

One of the challenges of most Class B RVs is where to put that stuff so it stays organized enough that we can find it.  The Tour floor plan has impressive storage capacity that comes in the form of spacious hardwood cabinets, including a generous wardrobe cabinet which is big enough to hold items like jackets and/or camping chairs. (There’s no reason you couldn’t use it for additional pantry storage too.)  We were also pleasantly surprised to see plenty of shelves and cubbies where a book or electronic device could be stashed right where we’d need them.

    You Should Also Know

    Exterior Appearance

Grech RV’s attention to detail has given the Strada-ion Tour a definite understated elegance. It starts with being built on a top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis.  Then Grech RV adds little things, like the streamlined and seamless integration of the awning and the air conditioner cover that blends perfectly with the Tour’s roof. Then you notice that there isn’t a single hole cut into the sides. Instead, all of the utility access points are concealed under a protective stainless steel strip on the bottom section of the RV. That means there’s no yearly maintenance caulking in to fend off leaks via intrusion points.

    What’s Underneath?

After exploring the interior and exterior features of the Grech RVs I can’t say I was surprised when I looked underneath the chassis. Here’s what I found.

A look underneath the Strada Ion Tour revealed an incredibly neat and tidy undercarriage.  Nothing was out of place.  There were no “mystery wires” or misplaced screws. Instead, there were gleaming stainless steel brackets, perfect welds, and not a nut or bolt out of place. Not only that, the holding tanks were custom-made to fit perfectly under the RV, to help ensure that no space is wasted while providing the maximum possible holding capacity. It’s a meticulous approach to building an RV that will provide many years of flawless and trouble-free RVing.

This RV Is Easy (And Fun!) To Drive

A test drive of the Strada-ion Tour reconfirmed my love for its powerful, fun-to-drive Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. It’s worth mentioning that Grech RV outfits this chassis with every available option. So there are a lot of them.  And it makes driving Strada-ion RVs nothing less than delightful.

A raised driving position and expansive windows offered an impressive view of the road.  Seats in the Strada-ion Tour are designed for perfect comfort, even on longer road trips.  They’re completely adjustable and feature sumptuous comforts like memory foam and heating. All controls are within easy reach, including an on-board navigation system that was easy to operate. Apart from that, this vehicle handled beautifully. It was remarkably responsive and had power to handle steep hills with nothing less than aplomb.

    Favorite Driving Features

    • Fantastic visibility of the road from the driver’s position
    • Easy to operate navigation system
    • Great stereo

    • Parking sensors
    • Super comfortable captain’s chair with fully customizable seat and back positions with preset controls for multiple drivers

    About This Manufacturer

Grech Motors is a relative newcomer to the RV industry. However, this family-owned company has been making sought after luxury limousines and buses for more than 40 years. So Grech RV had time to develop its luxury vehicle game long before jumping into the RV market in 2021.

  • 2025 Grech RV Strada-Ion Lounge Review

2025 Grech RV Strada-Ion Lounge Review

If you’re looking for a luxurious Class B whose features and quality of build surpasses industry standards, you’re going to like what you see in the Grech RV Strada-ion. This smooth-riding motorhome is built on a diesel-powered Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. It’s fully electric, powered by a quiet lithium-ion battery energy storage system. And, maybe best of all, the craftsmanship found in the Strada-ion is backed by one of the most responsive customer service experiences we’ve ever heard of. (More on that at the end.)

The Strada-ion comes in two unique floor plans: Lounge and Tour. Both floorplans are incredibly luxurious, but each is designed to meet the needs of a particular RV user. This model, the Strada-ion Lounge, is the people mover of the pair, seating up to nine passengers. The Strada-ion Tour seats up to seven. (See our review of the Strada-ion Tour.) Each floor plan is a fully featured statement of Grech RV’s dedication to superior design and outstanding build quality.

Let’s talk more about what makes the Strada-ion Lounge stand out.

    At a Glance: Strada-Ion Lounge

    Check Some Specs

    Chassis: Fully optioned, diesel-powered Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 170-inch EXT

Available in all wheel drive (AWD)

Length (Exterior): 24 feet 2 inches

Height (Exterior): 9 feet 11 inches

Width (Exterior): 6 feet 8 inches

    Fresh/Gray/Black: 26/27/13 gallons

    Seating Capacity: 9

    Sleeping Capacity: 2 comfortably

    Features We Love

    • Hand-built birch plywood cabinets provide ample storage
    • Pop-up counter for additional counter space for remote work
    • Separate back and front areas
    • Comfortable memory foam seating and bed
    • Firefly Integrations touchscreen control panel (or phone app) for all functions
    • Two Lagun tables (rear lounge and front-seating area)
    • Two TVs
    • Power screens on doors
    • Rear windows that open
    • All electric, no propane
    • 300W solar power system
    • 1260 amp hours of Lithium-ion battery storage
    • 3000W Inverter
    • Whisper-quiet air conditioner (you’ll barely notice it)
    • Outdoor shower
    • Macerator
    • 5,000-pound towing capacity (with hidden tow hitch)

    Benefits

    • Great floorplan with two separate areas
    • Quality build
    • Looks like a passenger van from the outside
    • Two entertainment areas with Bluetooth for headsets
    • No need for propane
    • Generous tank sizes and macerator
    • Energy system capable of keeping you powered for six days off-grid
    • Dog-friendly

    Challenges

    • It’s a class B, so it’s a smaller RV space. You can travel with nine, but there’s not space to sleep nine. For short trips, that’s no problem. For longer trips with a bigger crowd, you’ll need to make accommodations, to camp outdoors, or to convoy with another RV.
    • There’s no outdoor storage for easy access to items like camping chairs or anything else you might be accustomed to store there. All storage is within the cabin.

    Who Is This For?

    • RVers who want to tailgate or travel with friends. Its power gives it the versatility to go off-road, but as a Class B, it’s equally primed for adventures in the city — especially with its luxurious look.
    • Perfect for grandparents who want to take family members on short road trips or adventures.
    • It’s an exquisite fit for weekend trips where you want to head out — in luxury. You know, golf excursions and wine-tasting tours with a select group of friends.

    How We Did This Review

RV Trader asked RV shoppers what was most important to them in their RV buying process. And they gave us the six key areas: sleeping space, bathroom, living area, kitchen, four-season capability, and storage space. So, you’ll find those categories every RV review. Also, we know RV buyers want to base purchase decisions on unbiased assessments, so RV Trader has committed to independently assess each RV we review.

To evaluate the Strada-ion Lounge, we assigned an expert Rver (that’s me, Lynne) to visit Grech RV in Riverside, California. While there, I carefully examined the Strada-ion Lounge in person. I thoroughly examined everything about this model to come up with an objective, unbiased review that would look at the key areas that shoppers want to learn more about when researching which RV to buy.

    So let’s dive in.

    Sleeping Area

At the back of the Strada-ion Lounge, you’ll find a lounge area consisting of a very comfortable sofa and two ottomans. When it’s time for bed, you just click a button on the Firefly controller — or just as easily with the phone app — and everything effortlessly transforms into a surprisingly comfortable 66-inch by 76-inch bed. If you like to watch a show to unwind before falling asleep, the Strada-ion has you covered. There’s a 24-inch LED TV with Blu-ray as well as a fantastic soundbar. You’ll also find 110V power outlets and USB charging outlets with places to stash your electronics while they charge.

One of the features unique to all of 2024 Grech RVs (and beyond) is a power screen that drops down over the rear doorway. That way you can enjoy sleeping with that fresh open-air feeling — without being bothered by bugs.

    Bathroom

The Strada-ion Lounge has a space-conscious wet bath that’s packed with features that blend practicality and luxury. To start with, wet baths can often feel a bit claustrophobic. So, even a gentle touch can go a long way. The Strada-ion gives a perfect example, putting a window in the bathroom that’s hidden from the outside. It’s also outfitted with a ceramic flush toilet which gives it a homelike feel. (And it’s easier to clean than the plastic toilets that are frequently used in RVs.) Other cool features in the bathroom of the Strada-ion Lounge are:

    • Great lighting
    • Pullout mirror for shaving or makeup
    • Faucet that converts to a showerhead
    • Hooks to hang towels and washcloths
    • Easy-to-clean surfaces
    • Manual pull-down window shade
    • Cloth shower curtain
    • Large mirror that can be used outside the bathroom when door is open
    • Protected toilet tissue holder

    Living Area

Aside from the lounge area at the back of the RV — with its own Lagun style table — the Strada-ionon Lounge has four captain’s chairs at the front that swivel and adjust so everyone can sit around a Lagun table that can be quickly set up as needed. But that’s not all. The seat closest to the door can be positioned to use the flip up countertop as an additional work surface.

Grech RV has also taken into account the diverse entertainment requirements of families that travel together. There are two 24-inch LED TVs: one at the front and one in the lounge area. Both TVs are Bluetooth enabled, so passengers can connect without disturbing others in the RV.

The practicality of this floor plan is also very impressive. It’s laid out so people can relax in the rear lounge area while others can work at the front. That’s especially beneficial if remote work is a part of your lifestyle — or even if you just need to catch up on email. This can all be done with the door wide open because Grech RV provides a screen door to protect you from any insects that might like to wander in.

    The Fun Continues Outside

Grech RV also added an integrated power awning with adjustable awning lights that allows you to relax outside the RV. (And no, the Strada-ion will not allow you to drive off with the awning out.) Delightful features simply abound. Who wouldn’t love the power shade at the back of the RV that doubles as a movie screen (if you have a projector) for movie nights? All 2025 Grech RV models have that.

    Kitchen

The kitchen area of the Strada-ion Lounge has a lot of features that we’ve become accustomed to finding in larger RVs. There’s a lot to love in this functional kitchen. Here’s what I mean:

    • Massive pantry
    • Two-burner induction stove
    • Combination microwave/convection/airfryer
    • Large, farmhouse-style sink with pull-out faucet
    • Quartz countertop
    • Faucet with pull-out sprayer
    • Refrigerator/freezer combo
    • Oodles of cabinet storage (we always love that!)
    • A handy flip-out storage spot for pot scrubbers and other dishwashing tools

    Four-Season Capability

Like all the Grech RVs, the Strada-ion Lounge boasts multiple layers of insulation in its floors, walls, and ceilings as well as heated freshwater and gray water tanks. While this helps occupants to stay comfortable, Grech RV spokesperson John Black is quick to point out that these RVs are not designed to be used in extreme cold (e.g., a Canadian winter). However, these RVs will keep you comfortable for four seasons where winter temperatures are milder. So, the Strada-ion Lounge is probably better classified as a three-and-a-half-season camper.

One of the greatest elements of weatherproofing for the Strada-ion though is common to all Grech RVs: the quality of the build itself. Because access points, like its all-inclusive utility center, are prebuilt into the design, nothing is drilled into the side. Nothing’s been cut out. No saw has touched it. Which means that leak points common to most Class Bs (and lots of RVs) simply don’t exist in the Strada-ion Lounge.

    Storage

We humans sure like to bring stuff with us when we travel. But that’s a particular challenge for most Class Bs. Where can you put stuff so it stays organized enough that you can find it? Grech ensures there’s plenty of space for storage in the cabin with an abundance of hand-crafted solid hardwood cabinets found all throughout the Lounge. (We were also pleasantly surprised to see plenty of shelves and cubbies where a book or iPad could be stashed right where we’d need them.)

Although the Lounge has no basement storage for camping gear like chairs or grills, it’s spacious enough that there’s a lot of places to stash these items when you’re traveling. Especially for a Class B.

    You Should Also Know

The Strada-ion Lounge Is Fun to Drive

A test drive of the Strada reconfirmed our love for its powerful, fun-to-drive Mercedes-Benz diesel chassis. It’s worth mentioning that Grech outfits the chassis with every available option, which makes driving the Lounge nothing less than joyful. The raised driving position and expansive windows offer an impressive view of the road. All controls are within easy reach, including an on-board navigation system that was easy to operate. Apart from that, this vehicle handled beautifully. It was remarkably responsive and had sometimes surprising acceleration.

    Favorite Driving Features

    • Fantastic visibility of the road from the driver’s position
    • Easy-to-operate navigation system
    • Great stereo
    • Backup camera
    • Rain sensors
    • Parking sensors
    • Super comfortable captain’s chair with fully customizable seat and back positions with three preset controls for individual drivers

The Overall Build Quality Stands Out

Each element that goes into the Strada-ion Lounge contributes to an RVing experience that is carefree and absolutely perfect. (Honestly, it’s easy to get carried away.) Every detail here has been thought out with the goal of providing a premium RVing experience. It’s little things, like a painted cap for your awning and the roof A/C painted to match the exterior. It’s even unseen things. A look underneath the Strada-ion Lounge reveals stainless steel brackets, perfect welds, and not a bolt out of place. To make sure they don’t detract from that, all the holding tanks have been 3D printed to spec, offering a precision fit beneath the RV. It’s all part of a meticulous approach to building RVs that will last for years without any of the issues RVs are commonly prone to.

    A Giant Grech RV Takeaway

Grech Motors is a relative newcomer to the RV industry. However, this family-owned company has been making sought after luxury limousines and buses for more than 40 years. So Grech RV had time to develop its luxury vehicle game long before jumping into the RV market in 2021.

Right from the start, Grech RV did away with most of the pain-points that RVers often have with Class B RVs. Grech RV raised the bar for the RV industry within a few short years of its entry into the RV industry with its quick response to customer concerns and outstanding commitment to both quality and customer service — a huge and often overlooked differentiator in the industry.

If a Grech RV customer has an issue with their RV, they are advised to give Grech RV — not their dealer —the first call. (They even provide you with a personal number.) That kind of responsive customer service enables Grech RV to diagnose over 90 percent of problems without an owner ever having to waste time, money, or energy with maintenance. And if maintenance is required, Grech RV helps arrange for an approved technician to fix it right away. It’s a level of customer care that’s unusual in an industry where RV owners too often find themselves waiting for months for service when something goes amiss. And it’s the kind of service we’d love to see the entire RV industry match.

  • 5 Must-Haves for a Great Night’s Sleep in Your RV

5 Must-Haves for a Great Night’s Sleep in Your RV

Everyone loves a good night of snooozzzing. And long days behind the RV wheel certainly don’t hurt that process. But if you don’t feel like your RV bedroom is quite up to snuff, we have what you need for a ticket to sleepytown. Gone are the nights of tossing and turning, waking up groggy and sluggish for a long day at the campground. You want your trip to be memorable for the right reasons, not because you didn’t have enough energy to get through the day.

Really, all that stands between you and a good night of sleep are a few carefully chosen items that will complete your bedroom setup in the RV — and one item even out of the RV.

    A Wall of White Noise

Campgrounds are a lot of things, but quiet is not always one of them. A white noise machine creates soothing background sound that helps mask noisy neighbors and cacophonous campgrounds. That background is like a wall of noise that provides a better sleep environment.

With adjustable volume levels and 20 sound options, it offers customizable comfort for anyone who needs a little quiet to sleep. This white noise machine is also a great option for the kid’s sleeping quarters when the adults want to stay up a little later for some star gazing. Under half a pound, it’s easy to transport and even easier to store.

Prices start on Amazon at $21.99.

    A Contact-Ready Mattress Pad

This mattress pad can give your bed just the right amount of cushion while also protecting your mattress from stains, spills and wear, extending the life of your mattress. That’s important because, even more than brick-and-mortar homes, your bed gets a lot of action in an RV. There’s limited real estate in the cabin, so any combination of food, kids, partners, pets, and wine could mean an instant mess.

Also, the deep pockets of this particular product ensure that it will not slip off in the middle of the night, disrupting your sleep. Filled with down-alternative and with a cotton surface, it’s a stellar option for passengers with sensitive skin or allergies. All of which might be why it has over 75,000 5-star reviews. That’s a lot of well rested customers!

Prices start on Amazon at $39.90.

    A Darker Den

Blackout curtains might be the single most important thing when it comes to improving your quality of sleep in your RV cabin. An awful lot of RV walls have windows. (Like most of them.) Some shutting off all the light can be a big camper challenge for getting some shuteye. These stylish curtains let you say, “Lights out,” when you want to.

A great additional benefit is that the insulating properties help to regulate room temperature, which contributes to both sleep quality and your RV’s energy efficiency. And yes, there are options — 34 colors and 23 sizes to be exact! Happy campers have mentioned that the material is thick without being rigid, and that ambient light is greatly reduced. They can be hung easily with a tension rod or your camper’s existing curtain rods.

Prices start on Amazon at $13.75.

    A Gentle Midnight Breeze

Oscillating fans provide consistent airflow throughout a room, promoting better air circulation and comfort during warmer months, which can be especially crucial in a tight space. If you are used to sleeping with a ceiling fan, a tower floor fan is a fantastic substitute for your RV.

With its bladeless design, you don’t have to worry about little fingers, and the remote control allows you to adjust the settings without getting out of bed. (We love that.) The grill on the back is easy to remove and clean, so don’t give the campsite dust a second thought.

Prices start on Amazon at $69.99.

    A Still Night

No one wants to roll over in bed and be woken up by the feeling of your RV seemingly rocking off of the pad. Lynx Levelers are an economical, easy-to-use solution that can support up to 40,000 pounds. They are durable, simple to adjust, and easily stored under your RV when not in use.

Levelers aren’t just a product to help you get a good night of rest. It is important that your RV is stabilized on rocky, uneven ground in order to prevent damage to your RV or injuries to campers. You can rest easy knowing that these levelers fit the bill.

Prices start on Amazon at $33.18.

    Sweet Dreams

Incorporating these five items into your RV setup can make all the difference in achieving a restful night’s sleep on the road. From investing in a quality mattress pad cover for added comfort to utilizing blackout curtains to block out external light, these simple additions can significantly enhance your sleep environment. With the right combination of gear and preparation, you’ll be well on your way to enjoying peaceful nights of sleep, ensuring you wake up refreshed and ready for another day of adventure on the open road.
